There are eight kilometers with enchanting scenery, surrounded by vineyard terraces. The trail starts in the village of Samodaes, in the municipality of Lamego. Being a circular trail, it starts and ends at the same place, and can be done in both directions. It's a track on beaten earth, in the style of rural Douro paths.
The Port Wine trail goes down until it reaches the bank of the Douro River. As you approach the shore, you can relax with the tranquility of the river and watch the Cruises on the Douro crossing its waters.

Water is essential, especially on warmer days, and a snack in your backpack will help you fight hunger when it hits. Appropriate footwear and comfortable clothing are also a must. The basic sunscreen, sunglasses and hat should certainly accompany you.
Finally, we recommend that you take your camera or cell phone with you to record the incredible landscapes that you will surely find on the way.
